Cookie policy
This website uses as few cookies as possible: one to remember your cookie choice, and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for a site to work. Others, such as analytics cookies, help the owner understand how the site is used. Under UK law, non-essential cookies may only be set with your consent.
Which cookies does this website use?
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| aplastering_consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so you're not asked on every page | 12 months |
| _ga | Analytics, only with consent | Google Analytics 4: distinguishes visitors with a random identifier | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Analytics, only with consent | Google Analytics 4: keeps track of your session; <ID> is this website's analytics property code | 2 years |
The chat widget may also keep your conversation in your browser's storage while you move between pages. This is only used when you open the chat, and is needed for the chat to work.
This site does not use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
When are analytics cookies set?
There is no cookie banner when you arrive. Analytics cookies are set only when you choose to get in touch or download a guide: the form says so next to the send button, and sending it counts as your consent. You can also accept or decline at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
Until then, no Google Analytics cookies are stored on your device. The site uses Google Consent Mode, so Google's tags respect your choice; without consent they may send limited cookieless signals, such as that a page loaded, with no identifier stored.
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
How can you change your choice?
You can change your mind at any time:
- use the cookie settings link in the website footer to accept or decline analytics
- delete cookies in your browser settings, after which no analytics cookies are set until you get in touch again or accept in cookie settings
- set your browser to block cookies; the site will still work, but your choice can't be remembered
Declining analytics has no effect on how the website works for you.
